Description
The AI for Business Transformation Hackathon 2026 challenges innovators, developers, analysts, designers, and business professionals to create practical artificial intelligence solutions that improve how organisations operate, make decisions, and deliver value.
Participants will explore how AI can be applied to real-world business challenges such as process automation, customer experience, data insights, operational efficiency, employee productivity, and intelligent decision-making.
Teams will collaborate to identify a business problem, design an AI-powered solution, and develop a functional prototype that demonstrates the potential impact of their idea. At the end of the event, participants will present their solutions to a panel of judges who will evaluate projects based on innovation, technical implementation, usability, and business value.
The hackathon encourages experimentation, collaboration, and responsible use of emerging technologies to create solutions that can deliver measurable improvements across industries.

Rules & Eligibility
The hackathon is open to developers, designers, entrepreneurs, business professionals, students, and technology enthusiasts.
Participants may enter individually or as part of a team.
Teams may consist of up to five members.
Each participant may only be registered as part of one team.
Participants of all skill levels are welcome, including those new to AI and emerging technologies.
All participants must complete registration before the event deadline.
Submission Requirements
To qualify for judging, each participant or team must submit:
- A completed project submission before the deadline.
- A working prototype or proof of concept.
- A project title and overview.
- A description of the business challenge being addressed.
- An explanation of how AI is used within the solution.
- Details of the target users and expected business benefits.
- A list of technologies, AI models, APIs, frameworks, and tools used.
- A link to the source code repository, where applicable.
- Instructions for accessing or running the solution.
- A project demonstration through a live presentation or recorded walkthrough.
- Disclosure of any AI-generated content, third-party services, or pre-built components used.
Incomplete or late submissions may not be considered for judging.
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Business Impact – The potential of the solution to improve processes, reduce costs, increase efficiency, or create new opportunities.
- Innovation & Creativity – The originality of the idea and how effectively AI is applied to solve a meaningful business challenge.
- AI Implementation – The quality and effectiveness of the AI approach, including model selection, data usage, and practical application.
- Technical Excellence – The quality of the implementation, architecture, scalability, and overall engineering approach.
- Functionality – How complete, reliable, and usable the prototype is.
- User Experience – The usability, accessibility, and overall design of the solution for its intended users.
- Responsible AI & Ethics – Consideration of privacy, security, transparency, and responsible technology usage.
- Presentation & Demonstration – The team's ability to explain the problem, demonstrate the solution, and communicate its value and future potential.
The judging panel will evaluate submissions based on innovation, technical quality, business relevance, and potential for real-world adoption. All judging decisions are final.
